Julia has 30 years experience working within the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of settings, starting from a Medical Information post at Syntex. Following this introduction to the industry she moved within Syntex to a Clinical Research role and worked across numerous therapeutic areas, and with development programmes from Phase I to Phase III. Following a role in Clinical Operations at the CRO Innovex, Julia moved to Switzerland to work for, the then newly formed Novartis, in the International Clinical Research Operations Group.
Returning to the UK, Julia's next role was as Head of Project Management for a small biotech company, before working in the industry consulting group, Technomark. Before joining Transcrip, Julia worked at Daiichi Sankyo as Head of the Project Management group for Anti-infectives and Immunology.
From such a wide variety of roles within diverse organisations, Julia has broad experience of drug development programmes which can be applied to devise drug development programmes across many therapeutic areas, including anti-infectives, immunology, transplant and cardiovascular. Her practical experience can then ensure the most efficient execution of the programmes. Julia gained her Honours Degree at Bristol University, and an M.Sc. in Information Science from City University, London. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research.
